TomTom 5 settings for Medion 41800 HELP :-(

Hi - a friend Who bought a Medion 41800 from Aldi last year has decided to upgrade his software GPS package to Tom Tom 5. I've given him a hand and installed the software which is OK but we can't get a GPS signal from the from the Medion - I've had a look at the various, settings types/baud etc.. but although I've tried a few no luck -

is anyone using a Medion 41800 with TT5? will it work? cand anyone tell me which settings to use?

any help would be great - cheers
