I'd like to alter my distance warnings from 500/200 to 300 and 100 yds but need (?) the sound files to go with them. Does any one have or know where I can get a set of files to suit?

You can make such waves yourself relativ easily with a freeware wave editor.
Just cut and paste the relevant sections of the original files together.
I just did it for 300.
The forum does not allow attachments thats kind of sad.
Unfortunatelly the 2/3 wave and the 200/500 wave files seem to be from different voices so the outcome will not be really professional but I doubt that it is very noticable as poor as the PDA speaker are.

Thanks. did this ok, but i notice it still uses the 500 yard distance to announce 300 yards. Can these notification distances be changed?

I believe not because this is hidden somewhere in the program code.

I thought you just wanted to change the wav file because the distance notification does not match with the traffic signs.
At least over here the 500m announcement comes closer to 300m.

Yes there is a bit of a announce/distance lag, but not 100-200yds which is where I wantd the warnings to be.

thanks for your help. looks like i am stuck with these distances for now unless someone can hack the code

Is it just me, or does my OP version have a voice announcement “herd exit”, instead of “third exit”.
If anyone has a wav file from the PN version that actually says “third” and not “herd” I would be grateful if you could email it to me.

Regards
Ron

Guys,

You can just edit the wav file using something like nero wave editor.

I've taken the 'th' from the end of the word ninth and added it tot eh beginning of the 'ird' and now got third.

Quite simple, but if you want a copy of the file pm me with your email address.

MickeyF, thanks for the prompt (with the 'third') wav file, why didn't I think of that !. Did the edit and it works fine.

Have also edited together a nice wav file which is appropriate for all cameras

"Warning - Check Speed, Approaching Camera"

Regards
Ron
