Hi,
Just upgraded my ICN630 V2 to V3 software and installed the safety camera database and all working ok but the funny thing is that when its counting DOWN the distance in feet to the camera when it reaches 0ft at the camera it starts counting back UP again.I am using the latest database.Anyone had this happen?

cheers

Hi DracUK,

What you are seeing is the normal operation for the iCN. The warning of cameras is done within a radius of the distance you set when you loaded the Safety Camera Database on e.g. if you set the warning distance to 600ft you will be alerted to all types of cameras within that radius relative to your position on the map, whether it is on your direct path or not.

As you approach the camera the count will decrease providing you with an indication of the distance to go until you reach the cameras position and as you pass the camera the count will increase showing the cameras distance as you move away from it. It does get confusing when you have cameras in a close proximity of each other, try the Variable Speed zone on the M25 for an example!

Hope this helps Smile

Did you know the latest SW (SmartST 2005) is due out now? I was just about to buy V3 too.

Hi DracUK

The latest SW (SmartST 2005) is out now in Australia from their online shop page. Not sure about the UK but I thought that is was supposed to be in the UK before Australia.

You will notice a difference in the 2 versions.

Regards
