internet connection problems tomtom 300 and k700i

hi there
im have problems connecting my tomtom 300 to the internet useing my sony ericson k700i
it gets to the stage where the phone is connecting, then it just comes up disconnected???
the tomtom then says unable to set up the wireless connection, and sakes if i want to do it manually???
i havnt subscribed to the tomtom extras so is that the problem or should i be able to get a connection without subscription>>????
any help would be much appreciated

hi paul, have you got a pay as you go phone? if you have selected pay as you go wap on the setup menu on the go i don't think this works as i have a k700i and had this problem myself, try connectin using wap contract of what ever looks nearest to that on the setup menu on your go, you still pay as the normal way via credit.
