Hi,
i have got hp rx3715 with tomtom navigater 5 (5.1) and just got the tomtom wirless gps mkll (bluetooth) but i cannot get it to work.On the gps status screen it says "no gps device".i have been on the tom tom site to configure it manually no joy and also on how to on this site still no joy Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad .What am i doing wrong ? help!!!!!!!!!!!

the receiver may be stuck in SiRF mode. Use SiRFdemo or SGPSView to switch it into NMEA mode (at 38400)

Hi hazza55
Have you got the GPS receiver and Tomtom 5 speaking to each other yet? When I first upgraded from TT3 to TT5 I had the same trouble as you. I hadn’t a clue what SiRF mode, NMEA mode or SiRFdemo were. If it hadn’t been for Pocket GPS world Forum I would never have got TT5 running. The advice you have already received should have sorted things out for you, but if not just keep corresponding.

"do a factory reset" is this GPS receiver or tom tom software ?

Did what you said but i noticed in error view bad parity SV03, subframe 4 still unable to connect to my rx 3715 Exclamation

this clearly indicates the receiver is still in SIRF protocol mode. Switch it to NMEA.
