BT-338 Bluetooth and PC pairing and other issues...

I have a BT-338 and have just sent back to Easydevices for an update, so I am hoping this will stop the problem I have with locking on to sat's sometimes, it is great most of time but sometimes it just doesn't lock on and I have to reset and take out battery.

Anyhow, my question is I can't get it to work with the SIRFDemo program as when paired with PC it allocates it Serial port 13/14 and on the Sirf Program it only goes up to port 10, I have tried port 1 and 6 at 38400 and 4600 and no luck with connection at all

I was wondering if anyone had same problem, I couldn't even check software version although purchased in early feb and serial number was 12000 so should need upgrading.

I am also mystifyed as to which settings you should have it on even if I do get it working, SirfIII or other settings?, I mean which is best for optimum speed and maximum sats???

On the PC, install the Widcomm Bluetooth stack and throw the Microsoft stack out the Window(s XP SP 2) - then you can assign COM ports below COM 10...
