I had a Ipaq 2210 for 2 years with Tomtom cradle, I switched for a Ipaq 4150 with wifi and new Tomtom Cradle and the fuse seems to blow way too often yet I am using exactly same wiring as before...

It seems to happen when it overheats, which seems to be a problem with the 4150 as others have said they have had this problem too.

When the fuse blew first time I found that it was the small fuse inside the case of the cradle (I had fused inline too but that didn't blow, I have since lowered this one). I sent the cradle back anyhow, and got a new replacment only to have this happen again and again... I now fuse with a small fuse inline and only this blows now, it does seem to be a cooling issue as can work fine for weeks then just blow.

Has anyone else had this problem, or more so resolved it?

While running, TTN5 consumes nearly 100% of processor cycles. Programs running in the background becme unusable (media player etc). TTN5 also affects the OS reaction to hardware key presses. In 50% of the cases the key press event will not be relayed to the OS. Excessive processor usage also seems to cause rapid battery drain and/or very hot PDAs up to the point of failure.

Just found this on another forum, TT5 certainly does drain the processor, wheras the TT3 didn't????
