Tomtom 3. Is it possible to set Shortest/Quickest route?

Hi, can any of you Tomtom experts tell me how to set route to Quickest or shortest. The route I have seen for a particular journey is laughable (Hemel Hempstead to London W12 via the M4????) Destinator sensibly goes through Brent/N. Circular Rd!

I thought Tomtom would provide a more sensible route if Quickest/Shortest was available.

So, Please can somebody tell me how to set quickest/shortest route?
