Hi,

I've just ordered a new PDA that supports VGA (Loox 720). Has anyone out there tried Navman v2 in VGA mode on one of the new systems? I have nightmares of the software just sitting there taking up about a quarter of the screen.

Cheers,

Tim

I've got a PDA that does VGA ( Dell X50v). Do you know the
answer to your own question Tim ?

Anyone tried Navman v3 in VGA mode ?

( I think Navman 3.5 is just around the corner and that supports
VGA mode , so are thinking of waiting for that one.)

I've got a new iPAQ hs4700 with VGA screen. I'm still using SmartSt 2 and it works OK-ish. Graphics are a little fuzzy/blocky, and its running a little slow -- especially on the menus.

Unless Navman introduce VGA support quick I think I'm off to TomTom. Navigator5 is now streets ahead of SmartST -- including the VGA support.

The address selection on SmartST is very annoying -- half the time I look for London it doesn't come up. I had a problem on holiday in Spain where a load of smaller roads didn't seem to show up on the map -- so I (with another car following) was routed well out of the way. Embarrassing. Reinstalled the map, and suddenly the roads were there!

Also I'm coming to hate the SmartST desktop. Crashes regularly, locks up etc. Currently I'm trying to reinstall SmartST on an SD card (following one that got corrupted) and ST Desktop is telling me I don't have an internet connection. Clearly that's rubbish, as this post proves!
