Hi

Can any one tell me how to configure the seven digit postcode search function.

Currently I start searching and I can only enter 4 post code digits, before I'm asked what road I want.

Also I have upgraded from Navigator 3 to Navigator 5, and find very little benefit, the UK map is still out of date.

Am i doing some thing wrong?

The map is held in a folder on my CF card and the postcodes are held in a separate folder on my CF card.

Any help would be help full

Regards

Paul

This question has been answered many times in the TomTom Navigator forum.
First you need to create a new folder called TomTom on your SD card. The folder can be empty, it just needs to be there.
When entering a place to navigate to, don't click the address icon but go on to the next menu page, which has a Postcode icon. If you have created the TomTom folder as described above, this will take a full 7 digit postcode

The other thing you need to do is install the Postcode File from your CD. Normally it happens automatically after youhave downloaded the GB maps, but if you don't have a file called ZIP (about 8.4 MB) you will need to go back to CD1, select the postcode option, and install it onto the SD card

All you have to do is open your sd card copy postcode file and paste it into my documents. Then it will work
