help please

Hi I am new to all of this and have a question if any one can help, I have a HP RX3715 and the Leadtek GPS Receiver Sirf II Low power from handtec, which is the leadtec 9531 I think, it is used on tomtom 5 and is all working fine but I was wondering what is the best speed to set the com port baud rate to, I have a choice of 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400.

Any help would be grate

If your setup is working fine I wouldn't tinker with it too much.

If you are unsure though, I would opt for 9600, which should be ample for simply passing GPS co-ordinates, which is all the connection needs to do.

I doubt you would notice any improvement in speed or performance if you switched to a higher bandwidth, but always happy to be proved wrong.
