Seems to me that tomtom have made a major mistake with their particular implimentation of bluetooth on the 700. I'm really off that I have to re-bond everytime I want to change phones. The worst of it is that you also have to go through the complete (and painful) re setting up of your phones wireless function as well, because when you bond to a new phone, the old ones information is lost from the 700. Is there anyway we can get an answer from tomtom as to whether they will be implementing this (necessary) feature in the future. I have tried phoning them but I just can never get through.

wow. At this point in time 42 people have looked at this thread, but not one reply. Is there really no-one else who has a problem their 700 being able to only 'remember' one bluetooth pairing at once? Don't get me wrong. Apart from this issue, I absolutly love the 700, but, for me, the pairing problem is such a huge cock-up that I can't believe that more people arn't too bothered by it. Maybe I'm the only one who is getting death threats from their wife because they promised her that it would be a good 'handsfree solution'.

Laughing Out Loud - oh well, guess I have to keep re-bonding for the time being.

Yes, you are the only person in the world with this problem, and if your wife makes true on the promise then even that problem will go away...

Sorry mate

got a reply from tomtom. It reads

You are correct, the GO700 can currently only be paired with one device at a time. We can't speculate about future firmware updates, but I will certainly forward this feedback to our development team.

With best regards,

The TomTom Customer Support Team

Oh well. Maybe in the future?

Don't worry mate - its an issue for me too! I have two Nokias (9500 and 6630) that pair fine with an existing Nokia BT car kit with no need to rebond etc.

Seems like an oversight on Tomtom's behalf... One for a fixpack?
