Well, my first attempt with TT5 wasn't very successful, 5 minutes into the journey the screen froze but the directions contnued to be spoken (including rerouting). Very strange, I've tried turning off the safety screen to see if it makes a difference, but it was set to 111mph anyway!
I'm using a Mio 168 and installed TT5 over TT3. Anyone else had similar experiences? |

Hi kissinuk,
I have a Mio and installed TTN5 over 3, and (so far) have had no problems.
A few niggles about the menus, but am sorting that out slowly after reading the thread about changing menus.
The postcodes work fine - again only because of help here in this forum - they do not wqork "out of the box"
So not sure why you have this problem but I gather it is not uncommon,
but not specific to the mio. _________________ Leigh

Thanks for the advice, I did have a look at the bug list but can't see anything related. I think the one refering to the safety screen happens after the safety screen pops up? My safety screen was set to 111 MPH and I was on a 30 road so it had no chance of appearing anyway. I've turned it off tho', just in case. |

Hi there, I am using a Myguide 3500(=Mitac Mio 168) and have upgraded to TT5 over TT3 and I have the same problem. Mine freezes altogether and I have to do a sort reset. I am so fustrated that I have gone back to TT3.
If anyone have any more suggestions, that would be great. |

I'm on the verge of giving up with v5 on my 168.
Whilst i'm beginning to like the interface, postcodes and even POI warning, it simply doesn't work as well as v3.
The navigation doesn't keep up on the map.
Loses fix and put me in fields quite often.
Takes ages to get fix sometime.
I've tried defraging my SD card - this hasn't helped. |
