Can someone tell me how I can get two warnings when approaching a POI. It was a feature I liked in Checkpoint
Thanks |

Tap screen to activate menu
Tap Change preferences
Tap Arrow for next screen
Tap Manage POI
Tap Warn when near POI
Select POI category you want warnings active for from the list
Enter distance you want to be warned in advance & tap done
Choose a warning tone and tap select
On next screen you can choose "Warn only if POI is on route" use with caution as selecting this means that unless you have a route planned you will not be warned!
Tap Done
Repeat the above for any more categories you require warnings for
Tap Done
There is no option for a second warning or for warning in xx seconds only distance is possible at the moment.
I think thats right! |

Sorry misread 1st post as "to" not "two" and posted in haste.
Bit of a pain not being able to edit once posted.
Anyway there is no option for "2" warnings in TTN5 at the moment nor for warning in xx seconds as there is in Checkpoint. |

the only way, that I know of and have tried, is to create a duplicate POI file with a slightly different name, say gatso1 & gatso2 (same content just diferent names)
set the distance and warning for gatso1 then set them for, what is effectively the second warning, gatso2
it's a pain in the ass but it works _________________ SW

Just installed TT5 tonight and thought I'd give it a test.....
Not sure if this has been discussed yet or not???
when clicking on the manage POI if you leave the "warn Only if POI is on route?" option empty it will warn you of the POI even with no route selected
hope this helps but haven't found a way of adding more than one warning

Itwould be nice if you could set a time instead of a distance. Only being able to set a distance means that when I'm driving slowly, I get the warning so far in advance that I've nearly forgotten about it by the time I get to the POI. Conversely, when I'm driving more quickly, I'm almost on top of the POI when I get the warning. _________________ Geraint

TT4 also did not work with Checkpoint or any other 3rd party software.
As for going so slow you forget - doesn't that mean yo uare probably going too slow to trigger the camera as well? If the warning is triggered then the icon for the POI stays in view until you pass it. |
