Hi,

I have been using TomTom 2 for a few weeks now and had found it to be very reliable. However this last weekend I had all sorts of problems with it hanging. I have just had a thought and wondered if this may be the cause. I was using it to travel between Geocache locations where some of the locations were off road (as opposed to a parking spots). These off-road locations could be in the middle of a field or wood etc. When trying to plan it’s route, what does TomTom do when the destination is not on a road? Could this be the cause of the hangs that I experienced.?

I had assumed it would just take you to the nearest point where a road passes, but maybe not……

What do other users do when using TomTom for travelling to Geocaches?

Regards

Nobby

I have been using ttn 2 to travel between geocaches and it always takes me to the nearest point where it is a road on the map. I put my geocaches as POI and just use "Navigate to" POI. I live i Sweden and using the Nordic maps

In the UK you can download the whole of the UK geocaches as POIs dedicated for you, from here

This will give you 3 different coloured caches designating - found - not found - owned.
