Hi Lydiachris,

UK TomTom Support number is 0845-1610009. Mon-Friday 09:00 till 16:00. Not sure if these are UK or Netherlands times.

I think you have a point about the delivery of the UK orders. I ordered mine on 2 June (O/No 550xxx) and received it on 10 June and have noticed that others who have a smaller number than me have had to wait. Although I have got my order I have been unable to upgrade as I keep getting "Maps not found!" messages despite installing correctly.

It's all over the forum, but here's one example:

http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=22181

and

http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=21902

I'd say it's a bug in the installation and that Tom Tom needs to e-mail ALL customers who will or may be affected by this.

Hi Martin,

Thank you for the two links you sent in your last post. Unfortunately they pertain to Pocket PC and I have a Palm Tungsten T3. Incidently, the folder TomTom gets installed automatically in the Palm version. I was in touch with TomTom when trying to update yesterday and will get in touch with them again on Monday to see how they can help me - possibly a new set of CDs?

Yes just an empty folder called tomtom on the sd card seems to make postcodes work well . Mind today I noticed that I was driving thru fields about 15ft off the road (snap to road doesnt seem to be working well) and at the time I had about 8 sats

Still I am sure that other probs will surface in due course

I too have just upgraded to TT5 on a Plam Tungsten 3 but can not for the life of me get the full post code facility to work.

I have read pages of stuff about fixing this on a PPC - none of which works for the Palm.

Its not a huge deal as everything else is working really well.

Incidently i made a make up of my card before reformatting it. This the allowed me to copy across my POI's and dump them onto my new GB map. I thought they were lost for ever according to the documentation but they work fine.

So, any clues on the Palm Post code question?

Hi jbegg, Sorry I forgot to ask, what date/time did you order your upgrade???

Wouldn't it be easier if TomTom had shipped the majority of their customers upgrades by UPS all in one go!?!?!?! Rolling Eyes

Hi Lydiachris,

I ordered my upgrade on 2 June at approx 11:00 am.

I would call them, as someone else in another forum has stated that once he got "stroppy" with them he had his order very soon after.

Hope you get your order soon, and don't have the same problems that I am having with mine once you get it.

Is there another number? I have tried calling several times on 0845 161 0009 and get a message saying all their operators are busy, please call later. I am then cut off - no chance of waiting in a queue!

So far so good, postcodes fine but I am struggling to add poi groups. There appears to be a limit to how many groups you can have, then it lets you add a group . but you cannot see it!! (unless you use windows explorer) Does anyone know how to increase the number of groups, or how many you can have?? By the time all the speed camera groups are on my tomtom5 will only let me add about 8 more groups.
Its early days yet,
Thanks in Advance
John

Well 7 and a half whole hours have past since I first started to get through to the number above.

It is terrible :x

So actually how many people in this foum have NOT yet received their upgrades?!?!?
What does it state when you click on the order number under payments and status??

Mine states Authorised and Warehouse.

PLEASE could someone say what this actually translates to.

As you can probably tell from my "tone" I am not happy Confused

Yes, my order no is 544xxx, placed just before lunchtime on June 1. It has been saying Authorised Warehouse ever since then. Orders placed more than a week later than mine have been delivered!
