I also have a problem in connecting my Polstar X-70 which is think is simular if not the same as the PBT-111?

I can establish Bluetooth connection to my iPAQ h4150 running TomTom 5, but TomTom reports no GPS device?

After a while I lose bluetooth connectivity (blue light starts to flash on the X-70) If I look at connection status I see it connected, but no data sent or received.

The instructions for the X-70 do not state any paring procedure however the instrucions for the PBT-111 shows that it should be pared. I have tried it both pared and unpared with the same results.

Has anyone sucessfully managed to use a X-70 with TomTom 5, please let me know.

i just got my nokia 6680 bt gps and tom tom 5

i had terriblt trouble as it wouldnt take the 0000 code to pair. eventually after turning both devices off and on it did ?

Then, and here's the bit for you , it just kept saying no gps signal.

What i did and it definately solved it for me was to go in to the tom tom menu select tom tom gps then re select ' other gps' and this kicked it in instantly.

Obviously it needed you to actually manually re select other gps on the menu even though ' other gps ' was shown as selected

hope it works for you.

Hi Mas,
I have actually managed to fix this for my h4150 in the following way:

Go into GPS Device configuration in Tom Tom, then select "Other Cable NMEA GPS" (even though you are using a Bluetooth GPS receiver)!

Then select baud rate set to 4800
Finally select your Com Port, in the case of my HP 4150, COM Port 6.

Weird, but it works :-)

Thanks again for the help..
