Tomtom 5 when Bluetooth is not in range.

I got my tomtom5 setup and working on my hp2210 with a bluetooth reciever, by using the other wired gps reciever workaround. Sometimes i just want to use the pda just look on the map and sometimes to plan a route. When my bluetooth reciever is out of range, and i keep clicking cancel when it tries to find it. This just keeps on coming up and up is there a way to stop it?
