TTN5 Activation

I ordered the TTN5 upgrade purely to get a set of updated maps. There were some features from the review I knew I wasn't going to like, and having read some of the comments on the forum (even allowing for the knee-jerk effect), I'm even less certain that I'm going to want to use it.

I'd like to try it out at least but I'm guessing it will need activation. Won't that de-activate my copy of TT3? Is there any (legal) way to downgrade?

Also, I have the MWE for TT3. Are the activation codes for this linked in any way to the codes for the TT3 application; i.e. will these also be deactivated if I upgrade to TT5?

If you send the TTN5 package back as "unfit for purpose" you can also get your old TTN 3 license re-activated.
