I'm new on this board, and new with GPS equipments, so please be patient with my questions.

I'm going for a honeymoon to Austria next week and wanted to take GPS positioning system with me, rent a car and have some fun. But this is where the problems shows in.

I have Leadtek's 9532 GPS receiver and trying to use it with Microsoft Autoroute 2005. I have managed to install my receiver drivers, opened it's control programs, and even got a fix with SiRF data! But when I swich it back to NMEA data mode, I cannot get a fix anymore. And my Autoroute won't work either! It finds the NMEA data but cannot fix.

Could anyone explain the problem I'm facing, and how to resolve it? I'm in a bit hurry with this, as there's only 3 days to my weddings, and I feel almost like giving up with this matter.

Any suggestions more than appriciated.

Thanks.

When you switch back to NMEA make sure you specify the Baud rate. 4800 is standard for a serial/USB receiver. In AutoRoute, select the same value.

Amazing. Leadtek tried every way to hold on 9600 baud, so I made it my default port. But now that I changed it, the receiver suddenly started to work in Autoroute as well.

I'm not sure if I can understand what happened here, but I'll cross my fingers the program will work next week as well Smile

Thanks a lot!
