I currently have TT3 with the excellent postcode add-on programme, but I'm considering upgrading to TT5 - I "think" I know the benefits, but I've seen hints that there are some negatives too - is there a concise list?
My inclination is to wait until there is real world experience of the upgrade, but I might miss the boat!

Hi Simon,
You don’t need to install the upgrade right away. Why don’t you order the upgrade from TomTom and wait to see what others have to say?

The upgrade from TomTom Navigator 2 to 3 was for a limited time period. IIRC, it was available for only six months. TomTom have been generous and allowed anybody who’s still using Navigator 2 to upgrade. Normally you can only upgrade from the latest previous version.
TomTom Navigator 5 is good, there are a few differences between TTNav3 and TTNav5 in the way you get them to do things. The map data is vastly superior to that of Navigator 3 and for that reason alone it’s worth upgrading to.
