Hello!

i wonder if someone could help me out with some technical advice.

I am trying to set up my mobile phone and pda so that the pda can use the mobile to dial up to the internet. This is useful because I may need the net away from home at some point, but also because I would like to subscribe to the TomTom traffic announcments.

I have followed the instructions given to me from this page clicky and used the username and password supplied from this page clicky. Although I don't understand why the DNS Server is listed and am not sure why the string is there or what to do with it.

When I use the pda to connect to my paired phone the phone asks "DUN connect with Dell Axim" I select yes on the phone. The pda tries to dial *99# and then effectively times out. It looks like the bluetooth connection is established between the devices, but the "modem" does not want to connect. "The answering modem has disconnected. To check your settings and change them if needed tap Settings". Perhaps this is something to do with my GPRS settings?

I called O2 who provided me with new GPRS settings (via SMS) and told me that my account can use GPRS so it should all be go. As far as I am aware everything should be okay but obviously it isn't.

PDA: Dell Axim X30 with bluetooth + wireless. Win2003
phone: Samsung D500
Provider: O2
TomTom 3.07T

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
