Didn't Brodit's web-site show you where they were placed before you ordered?
It may simply be that there is no better location to mount them?

OK completed search of PC .. zero results for *.dat
I really didn't want to get a new satnav yet, this one is fine for me but useless without the voice commands!!

BLOW IT..they are all .res nothing in sounds directory and nothing on the disc (it only sets up your pc).
Their is nothing in the language setup screen except the option to enable/disable sounds |
