As mentioned in another post i was writing on, the change to night mode is based on the known sunset time for your location and date, and the delay setting in an xml file.

Well, that may well be the case; the file name ends in a MN65, which may be reference to the 6.5 version.... So that's that plan stuffed I guess..

The 4Gb card is a full backup copy of all the contents of the original SD card; something Navigon actually recomend you do.

Have uploaded some older Navigon maps and a Europe map (Europe_Q2_2008_MN65.map) onto the my 4 gb SDHC card for the unit.

Nope, lifetime TMC only works for Europe, not UK;
depending on the web page you visit, you can upgrade for €50 or £40; obvioulsy the latter is the cheaper option with current FX rates...

I'm sure I read in Navigin's blurb that their TMC update is not for Northern Ireland.
Eitherway, TMC will not work in the UK unless you pay the £40 TMC upgrade
