i know a new garmin has it thow.. i rode in a tow truck with a garmin and it knew where it was my tomtom thought we were in a field..

i do a lot of backroad touring.. what impresed me is the sheer detail on the gb maps.. forest tracks.. u name it.. its on the map.. a plus side if u want forest tracks.. a downside if u never want to ...

i agree with the open farm gates thing.. never had mine make such a silly mistake thow as u mention deliberately..

i did get a code with the euro map for my 300 but didnt have to activate it.. something i found a little odd..

i think they are a bit loose with the definition.. i would settle for a simp ...

i have tested a slow one and a fast one.. there is no detectable difference in how the tomtom works.. so pretty much any old common or garden card will do..

i think tomtom should include a time period.. lets say six months after purchase.. during this period any unit or map purchased should be entitled to a free upgrarde to the latest map version..

to me tomtom should offer a free upgrade to those who have bought a new device with outdated maps on it..

there is stuff on the current version of the map that isnt on the 650s.. and the 650 maps ...

my map was bought off the tomtom site a couple of months earlier than yours i would have just missed the boat as regards getting the latest version..

what i do find odd is the tomtom site tells me ...
