Just received the new SD card extension cable, tested it and no problem, waggled it, shook it, worked fine on a music SD Card.

I then made a 3rd card, formatted to FAT
File structure
Garmin\POI\poi.gpi
You might just try FAT32 and Garmin\POI\poi.gpi, to complete the testing options.
