The cameras on the A23 have been rear-facing and in operation for over a year. Caught 11000 in the year.
Quite a lot of drivers obviously failed mathematics at school! Wink

The camera had caught 140 speeding drivers since 2008At an average of only 35 'catches' per year, I wonder if it is realy worth the expense of repairing. Rolling Eyes

140 x £60 = £8400. Hasn't even paid ...

The average speed cameras on the A23 roadworks are like that. I thought that was the reason. Makes sense. But there's still a lot of people out there that don't know the meaning of "average speed"!

A friend of mine got done twice by these cameras inside a week. Talk about stupid - he knew they were there. Once at 51, the other at 58!!!!!!!
