Erm - you guys have made sure that the SD card is write enabled? If the little slider on the side of the card is AWAY from the contacts then it is write protected.

I got a Viking 512 SD. Loading tomtom on was a breeze, adding speedcam files as easy as, and i've now got a few movies and mp3's on too there is LOADS of space left.

Yep - Dave is spot on. I've got the HP/TomTom kit, done it and it works fine - you can assign alert sounds easily too.
