| You have to have the operating softwear on the card too, or TomTom won't see the map. Not sure how/where to download the softwear, I think you just connect to TomTom HOME, and it does it automaticly.

I have the same problem with SD cards - you insert the SD card and it refuses to boot. I have reformatted the card but this has not fixed it.
I am able to install the USA maps using HOME but then ... |

I have downloaded the USA maps and have been trying to install them on a SD but unfortunatley it won't recognise the map.
So far I have not been able to make enough room to install ... |
