On the right hand side of the acer there is a little rubber bung which is difficult to get out, but the mmcx socket is in there. I just rest the external aerial on the dashboard so its easily moved in ... |

Settings are OTHER CABLE DEVICE, then baud rate of 57600 then GPS ON NAVIGATOR. I have found on mine that sometimes I then have to do a soft reset then enter tomtom again to make it search for the sat ... |

Alaways let it lock on whilst you are standing still as the previous post said it is difficult to lock on when u move. Also on mine I found I needed to put the aerial all the way up then knock it back ... |

Postcode problem is easy to solve, place an empty folder called tomtom on your sd card, the postcodes will then work. |

Yep, I have this problem also at junctions and occasionally when making sharp turns. I run tt5.1 on an acer n35. I didnt have this problem with TT3. |

I certainly didnt have this problem at all using tt3, that always performed flawlessly for me, i do like the new maps though in tt5 and the poi warning feature saves me running checkpoint. |

I use an acer n35 with tt5, both version 5 and 5.1 jump off roads occasionally and at road junctions surrounded by lorries or in cities with tall buildings etc it seems to throw wobblies and doesnt kn ... |
