My experiences pretty much match Robin's. Original maps bugged, replaced after complaint. I've just come back from 2 weeks in France using the replacement maps.

ETAs on routes using D roads are ver ...

I'm wondering if CP6 operates "Avoid Toll roads" by activating blocks at the Toll gates (as in the problem with French motorways). If you are on a road with no possible exit, it would become understan ...

I've found a few of these. However I found a lot more when for reasons unknown CP6 decided to switch its profile to "RV"

Do you have the full European maps or just UK, Ponderous? I think this problem only applies to European toll roads (at least the only reference in the Forum to this specific problem have been France, ...

ALK have " found it to be a mapping problem and that certain restrictions have been put the maps you have" and are sending me maps "with the mapping restrictions taken off", which is presumably what ...

To return to Eltel's original comment. I noticed on a recent journey that CP6 was continuing to update my progress along a route while I was in a tunnel, and clearly not receiving any GPS signal. I su ...

I'll watch this with interest. I put in a complaint to ALK about French motorways on my return from France on Sunday (before I'd seen Robin's post), asking when they could update my maps. Received ack ...

When I installed 6.0.1.68 I selected UK Roger, but what I got was US John's voice speaking UK Roger's lines ("roundabouts", not "circles"). Soft reset seemed to fix it

Is there any software around that will let you edit maps (like removing the little crosses)?
For the most part I am using CP6 in UK, and yes it seems a more stable than CP5, so I've no great desire ...

Not quite that simple, Ponderous.

In my case "Avoid Tolls" was not enabled. My problem with the A11 came as part of a planned trip from Ouistreham to near Saumur.CP6 was quite happy to let me use ...

This could explain my problems with A11; ...

I've rechecked the A11 without using waypoints: starting on south carriageway north of J8 and picking destinations about 1/2mile from each junction. You can't lea ...
