Yes, it works fine with a mouse GPS...but here is the rub....

I loaded Mapopolis on the ipaq. When the ipaq is powered on...mapopolis is intelligent enough to try to reconnect to the GPS !

One thing I notice on the iPaq is...when the GPS is connnected, the BT software says that incoming connections are one. Outgoing connections are zero. Shouldn't this be a two way connection?

I just put a stopwatch to it and I see that it disconnects after EXACTLY two minutes.

But if I have GPSinfo running, it does NOT disconnect.

Weird?

Looks like this is a setting somewhere.

Oh yes, the GPS routing software I am using is Destinator version 3.0.25. The drivers for the belkin card are the latest Widcomm ones...I think something like ver 1.4.x

I just bought a Oncourse BT reciever from buygpsnow.com. They told me that this reciever is the same internally as the BT338.

I am trying to use it with an old iPaq 3955 with a PCMCIA - CF ...
