thanks for your help on this one.
I downloaded the zip file, extracted the files and ran the setup.exe from there. Still came up with an error on the i-mate to do with some locked files.

Spoke to Handtec and told them what Steven said "Wired doesn't work on the Jam" and they couldn't agree or deny this.

I thought wired would be a better option as I have a BT Handsfree box.

they say serial com port 1 and baud 4800
this doesn't work either.

tried reconnecting using Com5 and baud 4800 but still can't find the GPS.
I tried a soft reboot - no good
Tried a Hard reboot and restore - no good.
Any other ideas ? |

I have just got the TomTom 5 software for my I-Mate Jam and have installed the software no problem.
The kit came with a wired GPS : Leadtek SiRFStarII
which connects to the Jam via the USB port.
