Since August 2008 my GO910 has been crashing terribly when trying to use my Nokia 6300 phone on BT Mobile (Vodafone) and the Tomtom GPRS Traffic service / Speed cameras.

You're right, silly me, it is meant for updating existing units. Probably the CNET people got the OS wrong in their article.

No but to reset it - Stick an unfolded paper clip into the back of the 910 near the connector. That is a reset. I've only ever needed to do this once to fix some kind of Bluetooth pairing problem.

I get the same; TomTom GO 910 inbuilt speed cameras are silent, but the pocket GPS cameras beep and whiz just as on my old TomTom Nav 5 Pocket PC.
