We have the PiN and memory map, but don'tknow the gps parameter settings when MM is bought into play!!

Off roading ...not really a good term i suppose, as i have to be Taxed and insured etc as the riding i do is all on ancient roads and tracks.i use the OS maps with MM at 1:50,000 scale.

Is anybody using a pda type solution for off road mapping??
i currently have an Ipaq 3970, BT 308 receiver and Memory Map
It seems to be a pain to set up(never had atrouble free day so far?)

had Dest' install 2 weeks ago no problem.
used card for a trial of TomTom 5
formatted card, went to re install Dest' and guess what????????
Pc comes up with the 'no connection with mobile ... |
