I have just migrated from ViaMichelin to TomTom and can assure you that their pre-loaded restaurant POIs included McDonalds, etc.

Just to update you, a couple of days after my posting, TomTom Home updated itself and then, when the QuickGPSfix Data update ran, it ran without a hitch. No problems since.

Whenever I connect my TomTom ONE to TomTom Home, I get a message saying:

QuickGPSfix data

Whenever I hit OK for the pudate to take place, I get an error message saying:

I am a cpaable computer user so was happy with drag & drop once I knew which folder to drop the files in to.
