yes i have joined Mapshare i have ticked all map corrections preferences and i am using tomtom home 2.0
Are you using a v6.75 map? I think mapshare downloads only work with maps from v7 upwards alt ... |

Just hit this problem myself, called up TomTom support and the solution is to run the install from your hard drive, so copy the contents of CD1 to a folder on C: then run setup from that folder. |

I can also confirm that the GPRS connection is still live because Pocket IE can still browse the internet, also exiting Navigator and restarting (without restarting gprs) will let it connect up for it ... |

They hadn't heard of this issue before so we must be in the minority

Paul,
I used the exe to install so that can't be it.
I think it could be a PPC2002 issue, as other people on O2 can use the system with no problems. |

Hmmmm....
The ipaqs internet connection isn't a problem. Pocket IE works fine, even after Traffic has given up. |

The french traffic option was only offered as a service after adding my "Maps of Europe" product code on the traffic subscriptions web page. So I'm afraid the MRE just won't cut it.

You can sign up for the France traffic as well if you enter the Product Code from your Euro Map Set CD package.
I've already set it up for our trip this weekend.
