i do like the spot right in centre but it dont look good with vent missing & being so metaly/bulky, Brodit mount does look neat & discreat...
i suppose i could place it on other side of radi ... |

i have an astra 99reg & as you can see in pic not sure if pro clip will be too close to steering to view sat-nav properly..

No, no. Just buy a cigarette lighter extension cable, cut the plug off and wire it into an accessory fused supply.
As above, it should be wired into a switched 12v feed, normally at the fuse-box ... |
