This is how it works:
-do the 7.481 upgrade
-restart the device
-check for updates(again)
-it will then give you the v8 update

I heard something like you could subscribe map updates for 1 year.Like speed cameras.
You pay a annual fee and you get let´s say 3 map updates.
Not sure if the information is true Question

Since i use the volume knob on the radio,it really doesn´t mather.
The low volume was really a problem for me and many others.When you turned the fm off...Bang!!radio ...
