In my area NavTech seem to have the better data. Many addresses without roads are missing from the Tele Atlas data, essential for pedestrian use. And where is the Isle of Man?

One thing I do like about the Navigon based units is the way it names the road in your maneuver eg Turn left onto the A41.

Very useful here in the UK.

Theres no need to go for a drive every time, although there is no substitute for testing in the field.

If you look at the commands.csv file it seems that the 'default' turn announcements are for manoeuvres to the left eg. "turn left" or "turn slightly left"

Yes indeed... Highly configurable. Currently working on 'now turn left/right' etc.
