| ok now got a com port 6 and it has obviously found the gps receiver but saying no valid gps signal. I feel like i'm getting there, but one final hurdle to get over....... |

Yeah I have installed the update 5.2 which I downloaded from TomTom.
I started TTN and it didn't find any device, all it says is' Pair your PDA and GPS device, read your documentation for advice blah ... |

| Yeah the k-jam only shows com ports 6/7 so i have reset it to factory defaults as I read somewhere that other things could be taking up the ports, but it then still only shows 6/7. The problem is obvi ... |

tried what you said Mike but there is no com 0, only 6/7 and these are the only ones I ever get and like I said TT doesn't let me change anything!!!
