oldboy, no i didnt reset to factory, i will redo everything and then try that but will resetting to factory get rid of all my poi's voices and other maps on the card ?

no i never did find the file (or files) i put the 2gb card in a reader and did a search all that came up was a 1k filename with a cd icon ?? the card has about 900mb free so should be plenty

none of the above solutions have worked so i still have the problem, if i use operate my device in tthome the map works fine its only when i disconnect from the pc that the problem occurs, occasionall ...

all i had to do was change map.... looong time since i did this, all sorted now and thanks to all those that offered help and advice very much appreciated

ive just downloaded and installed gbmap v7.10 on my go300 but it still says gbmap v562.0 anyone any idea on whats gone wrong and how to fix it ??
