Mine also takes upto 5 minutes but I found that if I use it every day then it's quicker to lock. If I miss a few days then it takes alot longer.

You could also use Microsoft Autoroute if you have it, or you could save a place as a favorite then use easygps to show the co-ordinates.

They are already in Garmin i3. First find address eg.Manchester then select nearby goto Recreation - Arena/Track and it will show up in there.
