just wandering does it have to just 4 aa batterys or could it be 8, would this last longer or would it be better just to have 4 and change them when getting low

i emailed the shop from where i got it and they said this is not the first time they have had problems with tomtom activation wait 7 days then try again to activate it, cant see what difference this ...

could it be the wrong credit card for the software ???
