Not so! If you select the Audio icon in CamerAlert (avail when itunes control is visible) you can route the audio to iPhone speaker if you wish, its there for just this scenario.

Ditto would like to do this also if possible.
Using the camera alert on the iphone 4 doesn't work that well through the media interface (have to have the ipod playing to hear the notices!) |

To get the updated app to you need to purchase or can you just update if you already have purchased an older version?
