I suggest lowering the national speed limit to 12 mph, quadrupling the amount of safety cameras installed, and to make everybody wear helmets and diapers.

avoid tomtom home wherever poss. there seems to be too many error issues with it.

Yep, if you installed the .bmp files too then I agree it sounds like a corrupted .zip file to me or problems with the zip software you used to unzip it.

i think the charger units can go faulty and feed a full 12 volts to the unit instead of 5 volts as should be..
but if the small drain from a tomtom is flattening your battery its on its last legs.. ... |
