If you use the TomTom Work hardware and need the coresponding software then you will be fine using this version, if not I wouldn't bother installing it as it offers little benefit to you - Mike

| I don't think the light sensor that dims the screen works with this version which I suppose is a minor negative. Don't use GPRS so overall this is a much better alternative than 8.300 until TomTom fix ... |

I think it depends on the version of Navcore you were using when you updated the maps.
The later the Navcore version, the later the version of the maps you will be offered for update.
