You dont need power if you go for a bluetooth setup as both the iPAQ and GPS have batteries. Power is generally better for in-car use however as running the iPAQ with the backlight on is tough on batt ... |

There are a few 6600 apps that allow you to scan and calibrate your own paper maps. They're not very easy to use but may fit the bill.

I see what you mean, WOW, without the doublepixeling MM look great.

After doing my research I'm looking at a "HP iPAQ 4150" as its quite cheap (£295 from totalpda)

The new Emtac Bluetooth "Trine" GPS is available at lower prices than the older version. You can get it for $230 US at 123farmworks.com
