Check out PC-Mobile they do a Y converter cable to split the power supply into 2 iPaq style plugs.
...which leads me to ask, will my e740 take the iPaq style plug, current and voltage?

It is always possible that the internal patch antenna in your unit is faulty but you would need another non-Toshiba PPC to confirm this.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try tonight.
But when using the GPS Info app, I do a scan of the COM ports and COM1 is the only place the CF GPS turns up. I'll try the other ports tonight.
