I've got a 310D and the master reset works with that, and I think yours is basically the same.

I suggest you try again, making sure you're pressing the top right corner of the screen as you switch ...

I would suggest a "Master Reset" to cure the problem.

Press the top right corner of the screen whilst switching the Nuvi on.
Keep pressing until you get the reset option and press yes.
